FI Week 2025 Nature Walk at Hawkins Loop

Come celebrate our 3rd annual Field Inclusive Week! Join us on the first day of FI Week for a nature walk, activities, and food on The Land of Hawkins Loop in Hurdle Mills, NC — all to recognize, promote, and celebrate a more inclusive and welcoming outdoors for ALL. Learn More and Register Below.

Accessibility and Being ComfortableWhat to Bring
Transportation Transportation to and from the site will not be provided and is at the discretion of the attendees.
On site Bathrooms and Water to fill up Water bottles and wash hands.Your own water bottle if you would prefer. Some bottles of water will be available on site.
Terrain can change from grass to dirt to hard ground. Dress for the weather. Hiking or comfortable walking shoes recommended. Level of walking/hiking is beginner. Please take your own health into consideration before participating in any strenuous activity.
Lawn Chairs, Towels, or Yoga MatsBring your own lunch or have one catered on site from The Butcher’s Daughter. Sitting items (towel for the ground or a lawn chair) recommended.  

If participating in sunrise yoga, please bring your own mat.
On Site Guides/FloatersIndividuals from our sponsoring organizations will be available to help with anything or answer questions. If bringing children, they will be the responsibility of the attending adult.
Spots/Benches for RestingThere are limited spots for sitting down to rest while exploring. Bringing your own chair is recommended.
What is the preferred age group? Will there be kids activities?Any and everyone is welcome to this event. There will be a nature activity for kids to participate in if they would like. Once again, if bringing children, they will be the responsibility of the attending adult.
Equipment for Nature WatchingA limited amount of spotting scopes and binoculars for kids and adults will be provided by our partnering organizations. Please bring your own if you would like.
