Field Inclusive Names 2026 Summer Travel Award Recipient

Inmagela “Inma” Abreu (they/them), currently a a Master’s student in Anthropology at the University of Illinois Chicago and a 2024 Fulbright scholar in Museum and Exhibition Studies, is the recipient of Field Inclusive’s 2026 Summer Travel Award, sponsored by Tracy Aviary (TA).

This travel award, in the amount of $2000, helps to support applicants (undergraduate, masters, doctoral, or postdoc) to attend a scientific conference, training, or workshop taking place in the summer of 2026. Abreu will be using the award to travel and participate in the 2026 Banding Bootcamp at Braddock Bay Bird Observatory in Hilton, NY, a key step in building hands-on avian research skills.
