Field Inclusive Announces #FieldInclusiveWeek 2027: “The Outdoors Are for Everyone” Research Showcase

Field Inclusive is excited to announce the return of #FieldInclusiveWeek 2027, taking place January 17–23, 2027. This year’s event introduces an exciting new conference-style format, The Outdoors Are for Everyone: Field Inclusive Research Showcase, bringing together researchers, students, professionals, educators, and outdoor enthusiasts from around the world to celebrate field-based science and the people behind discovery.
Throughout the week, attendees will hear presentations spanning the natural sciences, including wildlife biology, ecology, marine science, forestry, botany, geology, climate science, conservation, and many other field-based disciplines. The showcase is designed to highlight not only outstanding scientific research but also the collaborations, partnerships, and inclusive practices that make meaningful fieldwork possible.
“Field Inclusive Week has always been about creating a welcoming space for people who love field science,” says Lauren D. Pharr, Co-Founder and CFO of Field Inclusive. “This new research showcase allows us to celebrate incredible science while amplifying the diverse voices and experiences that strengthen our field.”
Call for Speakers
Field Inclusive is now accepting speaker applications for the 2027 Research Showcase.
Researchers from across the natural sciences are encouraged to apply, regardless of career stage or institution. The organization welcomes presentations representing a broad range of field-based disciplines and perspectives.
Selected speakers will receive:
- A $50 honorarium
- A featured research presentation during Field Inclusive Week (January 17–23, 2027)
- Complimentary event registration
- Promotion through Field Inclusive’s communication channels and opportunities to engage with a global audience
Applications will be accepted August 1 through September 30, 2026.
Sponsorship Opportunities
Field Inclusive is also seeking organizations interested in sponsoring the event through sponsorships ranging from $500 to $1,000.
Sponsor support directly helps provide:
- Speaker honoraria
- Student participation opportunities
- Accessibility services
- Community programming
Sponsors will receive recognition throughout the event, on the Field Inclusive website, and across promotional materials.
Grand Prize Donation Drive
New for 2027, Field Inclusive will host a Grand Prize Drawing to encourage participation throughout the week. Attendees will earn one entry for every session they attend, creating an engaging and rewarding conference experience.
The organization is currently seeking donations to help build the grand prize package. Suggested donations include:
- Outdoor gear
- Books and field guides
- Nature-inspired artwork
- Gift cards
- Outdoor experiences
- Conference or workshop registrations
- Other items that celebrate field science and the outdoors

Field Inclusive invites everyone passionate about field science to save the date for January 17–23, 2027.
