Our Beginning Birders Program is being catered towards historically excluded and underrepresented groups, communities, and organizations.

We envision that the success of such programs will lead to similar programs at other parks or nature centers.

OBJECTIVES
Participants will:
- Learn basic bird ID
- Learn how to use binoculars, field guides and apps
- Learn how to bird safely
- Apply what you’ve learned outdoors

Walnut Creek Wetland Center (2023-present)
Current Programs are being offered at and with our local park partner, whose location is centered right in the heart of an underserved community.
Wake Audubon Society (2023-present)
Co-founding the Beginning Birder’s Program alongside Field Inclusive, WAS continues to work with us to grow this mission of inclusivity in the outdoors.
