Workshop Offerings

Member & Public Workshops

Twice each year, Field Inclusive also offers virtual Social Field Safety workshops that are open to Field Inclusive members and the general public. These workshops provide an accessible introduction to social field safety while equipping participants with practical strategies they can immediately apply within their own institutions and organizations.

These workshops combine elements of both of our core training offerings:

Part 1: Social Field Safety in Practice

Participants work through realistic scenarios from multiple perspectives—including students, faculty, staff, technicians, volunteers, and field leaders—to explore communication, decision-making, and strategies for responding to challenging situations.

Part 2: Social Field Safety Toolkit (Launching in 2027)

This companion session focuses on practical resources that participants can take back to their own organizations, including:

  • Social field safety planning
  • Codes of conduct
  • Risk assessment tools
  • Implementation strategies
  • Additional resources for fostering safer field experiences

Together, these sessions provide participants with both the discussion-based learning and practical tools needed to begin improving social field safety within their own communities.

Online Social Field Safety Module (Launching in 2027)

In 2027, Field Inclusive will also launch a self-paced online Social Field Safety Module.

This asynchronous course will allow individuals to complete foundational social field safety training on their own schedule while gaining access to practical resources, guidance, and strategies that complement our live workshops.

Organizations participating in multiple Field Inclusive training opportunities may also be eligible for bundled or discounted pricing as we continue expanding our educational offerings.
