Accessibility & Sensory Supports
We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants. For our in-person programs, including the Beginning Birders program and in-person workshops, we offer optional sensory supports to help individuals engage comfortably in outdoor and group settings.
Available sensory items may include:
- Headphones/earmuffs to help reduce environmental noise
- Sunglasses to minimize bright light and glare
- Fidget items for tactile engagement and focus
- Visual timers to support time awareness and transitions
- Calming cards with guided strategies for grounding and self-regulation
These resources are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are also encouraged to bring any personal items or tools that best support their needs and comfort.
If you anticipate needing specific accommodations or have questions about accessibility, please contact us at least one week in advance of the program so we can do our best to support you.
